A website for young bridge engineers has undergone a major update.

About three weeks have passed since the launch of thebridgeeng.com.

During this time 200 bridge engineers have visited the website every day.

I am very grateful. Initially the platform provided only news and insights.

Since then we have added more features one by one for young bridge engineers. Let me introduce the newly added features.

First you can solve 10 FE Test questions and compare your answers with the solutions.

Also we have added 10 different calculation features related to bridge calculations.

The 10 calculators are as follows.

- Budget Estimator: Calculates an approximate project budget based on bridge type and total deck area.

- FCM Box Girder Sizing: Determines the appropriate girder depths at the pier and mid span based on span ratio.

- Girder Depth: Recommends an optimized girder depth based on span length and standards.

- Span Length Recommender: Suggests the most efficient and economical span length for various bridge types.

- Expansion Joint Movement: Calculates joint movement capacity considering temperature variations and margin requirements.

- Elastomeric Bearing Pad Sizer: Sizes the bearing pad by evaluating compressive stress and shear deformation.

- PT Elongation and Friction: Calculates tendon jacking force and elongation while accounting for friction losses.

- Construction Method Selector: Recommends the optimal erection method based on span length and site conditions.

- Abutment Sizer: Determines abutment dimensions by evaluating bearing capacity and overturning stability.

- Suspension Curve: Calculates the main cable geometry and coordinates based on tension forces.
